SailEvent is a service of Sailing Club Software Ltd and we have created this privacy statement covering the SailEvent service in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy.

Information Held

We store and process data provided to us by you or an event organiser when you enter an event registered with the SailEvent service.

You are the controller of your data and your privacy. At any time you may view the information you have provided to us and, when permitted by the event organiser, update or delete it.

Our Data Protection Statement defines how we keep your data safe.

The information held for each individual is some or all of the following

• First and last names
• Boat identified by class, sail number, name or an alternate identifier
• Email address
• Phone number
• Postal address
• Gender
• Nationality
• Emergency contact name, phone number and relationship

Entry fees, where applicable, are paid via an independent payment gateway. None of your financial details, other than the amount you have paid and a transaction reference, are known to SailEvent.

Use of Your Personal Information

We use the information provided to us to deliver the service requested by the organiser of events you have chosen to enter.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Display an entry list for the event
• Disseminate information about the event by email or SMS
• Facilitate sign on/off for the event
• Allow you to view and update your own information on the web

We keep your data only until you or the event organiser deletes it.

Access to Your Personal Information

You may view and, when permitted by the event organiser, amend or delete, all the information provided to us about you at any time by logging in to your SailEvent sailor account via https://sailevent.net/app/sailor/login.

Once deleted in SailEvent we ensure that all copies in service backups are also deleted within 6 weeks.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

We will not sell or disclose your personal information to any third parties except successors in title to our business and if required by government bodies and law enforcement agencies.

Security of Your Personal Information

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Privacy Options

When you enter an event for which the organiser has chosen to use SailEvent then it is your choice whether or not to receive emails, SMS messages or push notifications about the event.

Revisions

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time. If we make changes we will indicate the new effective date at the top. We encourage you to refer to this document on an ongoing basis so that you understand our current policy.
